Right to rest

I worked in a group to create an advertisment for Human Rights Week, raising awareness about the Article 24 of the Human Rights Charter. The advertisment uses sounds around one’s workplace as a metaphor for ‘overworked’, to establish the need for rest. Using just expressions and sounds as treatment, the film overcomes the language barrier and has a universal appeal. The movie was screened on the Human Rights week celebration in New Delhi. Continuing with the light, comic treatment of the advertisement film, I created the title sequence inspired by the vernacular visual charts of traditional Indian occupations. (often used in government sponsered education books) Visual pun was used to comment a director as a traffic coordinator, costume designer as washerman and module guide as a classroom teacher. The music was taken from the background score of Bollywood action films of the seventies era. Due to my limited knowledge of motion graphics, I used simple transitions using simple geometric shapes.
